Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip – Some Useful Information Sources
An excellent source of information on Canine hip dysplasia and Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip is a book you can get at:
Hip Dysplasia
A Guide for Dog Breeders and Owners
2nd Edition 1989
By E.A. Corley and G.G. Keller
A single copy is available for a donation and multiple copies are $3.00 each at Orthopedic Foundation for Animals, Inc, 2300 Nifong Blvd, Columbia, MO 65201, 573-442-0418. It is informative, and highly recommended. The work is copyrighted and permission to reproduce the work was not given since the costs of production are still being recouped, so only highlights from the monograph are presented here. I do encourage you to get your own copy.
Another good source of information on Hip Dysplasia may be found in the chapter “Hip Dysplasia” in Genetics of the Dog by Malcolm B. Willis (Howell Book House). Information from this chapter is also presented below.
